Installation and Maintenance of Solar Road Studs

Updated: Jul 17, 2023

Solar road studs are installed and maintained in a similar way to traditional road studs, with some additional considerations due to their solar-powered nature.

Installation:

Site preparation: The road surface is prepared by cleaning and marking the location of the studs.

Drilling: Holes are drilled into the road surface using a specialized drilling machine to a depth of around 30mm.

Placement: The solar road studs are then inserted into the holes and secured in place using an adhesive.

Activation: Once installed, the solar road studs are activated by pressing a button or flipping a switch to turn on the LEDs.

Maintenance:

Regular cleaning: Solar road studs should be cleaned regularly to ensure maximum visibility. Dirt, debris, and snow can reduce the effectiveness of the LED lights.

Battery replacement: Solar road studs are powered by rechargeable batteries, which may need to be replaced periodically to ensure maximum performance.

Checking solar panels: The solar panels on the top of the studs should be checked periodically to ensure they are free of debris and functioning properly.

LED replacement: If an LED in a solar road stud fails, it should be replaced promptly to ensure maximum visibility.

Overall, the installation and maintenance of solar road studs is relatively simple, but it is important to follow the manufacturer's instructions carefully to ensure maximum performance and safety on the road.
